OL 3300: Teaching the International Student

  • 07/04/2022 - 08/01/2022

Online American universities such as Penn State are uniquely situated to offer online degree programs to an international audience. Penn State already has a large international population in residence education, but as online programs go global, a key faculty development question arises: how do we support faculty as they integrate international students into their courses? Many universities offer materials that address integrating international students into North American classrooms. Penn State offers materials supporting a wide range of international exchanges (e.g., GEN program) and resources for celebrating diversity in the classroom. This course is designed for faculty who want to improve their course environments for international students and promote intercultural communication skills for all students.
