With the spring 2023 semester underway, we want to highlight the ongoing and upcoming courses open for registration. In addition to the following, all courses through the 2023 calendar year are open for registration now! Visit the Online Faculty Development registration site to register.

OL Courses

Self-Guided

As we noted in our last newsletter for 2022, all our self-directed courses are now open for enrollment and completion all year round, 24/7. This includes the following:

  • OL 3100.01: Teaching the Adult Learner
  • OL 3600.01: Universal Design for Learning
  • OL 3875.01: Excellence in Academic Advising: Career Advising

Instructor-Led

Here are the upcoming spring instructor-led courses, which offer a collaborative space with colleagues to develop online teaching practices, strategies, and artifacts. These courses start on the first Monday of the month unless otherwise noted.

March

  • OL 3500: Gamification in Online Teaching and Learning (Starts March 1)
  • OL 2300: Teamwork in Online Teaching and Learning

April

  • OL 2000: Essentials of Online Teaching
  • OL 3850: Excellence in Academic Advising: Under-Resourced Students II

May

May courses begin on May 8 to accommodate finals week.

  • OL 2050: Essentials of Online Teaching for Graduate Students
    • Registration will open for this program on February 20.
  • OL 3400: Online Course Design
