OL 3300: Teaching the International Student

If you have not had extensive experience teaching international students or if you have only worked with international students in one-on-one interactions, this course provides materials and activities to assist you, particularly if you are teaching online courses with large numbers of international students.

You will find multiple links to various resources, but the main focus of the course is to develop your own awareness and confidence in your intercultural communicative strengths, and to assist you in thinking about how you can promote these same competencies or strengths among your students. Therefore, the course is very general with regard to academic or professional specialty and draws on work done in education, business, and other social sciences.
